Marco Castro is a Peruvian makeup artist recognized for his unique combination of glamour and chic minimalism. He has collaborated with photographers Nan Goldin, Brigitte Lacombe, Santiago & Mauricio, Guy Aroch, Elaine Constantine, Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca and Hans Neumann. World known filmmakers Pedro Almodovar and Spike Jonze.

He has collaborated with Francois Nars for over a decade, from whom he has obtained the detail of his artistry. Castro is a familiar face on the Nars Global team, from his international appearances, how to videos, and backstage during many seasons for New York Fashion Week for designers such as Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Rodarte, Phillip Lim. Diane Von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta and Thakoon.

His work can be seen in Vogue, L'Officiel, Elle, Marie Claire, GQ, Cosmopolitan, The Face, New York Times, Vanity Fair, Glamour and Interview magazine. He has created looks for campaigns for Helmut Lang, Theory, Opening Ceremony, Uniqlo, Nars, Jean Louis David, Blackberry, GNC, Kenneth Cole and Nike.

In addition to makeup styling Castro is a filmmaker. He writes and directs both narrative and fashion films combining his extensive knowledge of fashion and film history.
